Bastion of Darkness.....by R.A. Salvatore
all 7 harry potter books.....by J. K. Rowling
the lord of the rings trilogy.......by J.R.R. Tolkien
Dragonslayer's Return........by R.A Salvatore

Hmm, best book I've read recently was Soulless by Gail Carringer and the two books following it. Steampunk fiction. Loved it.
